What’s New
You can now add co-applicants directly when sharing a credit application.
Each applicant receives a separate, private application link.
MFA codes are sent via SMS or email, depending on how the application is shared. No more confusion around lost codes.
Step-by-Step: Sharing a Credit Application with Co-Applicants
1. Initiate the Share
While on the credit application step in the platform, click “Share Credit Application.”
2. Enter Applicant Details
Add the primary applicant’s and co-applicant’s:
Phone number
Email address
(You can choose one or both depending on how you'd like to share the application.)
3. Unique Links Are Sent
The system creates two individual, secure links—one for the primary applicant and one for the co-applicant.
These are sent via SMS or email based on your selections.
4. Applicant Verification via MFA
When a customer clicks their link:
They’re prompted to enter their phone number.
A MFA Code is sent via SMS or Email.
Once verified, they’re granted access to only their portion of the credit application.
5. Independent Completion
Each applicant completes their section independently.
They will not see or access the other person’s information, ensuring complete privacy.
6. Final Submission
Once both parties have completed and submitted their sections, the full application is automatically submitted to R1/DT and Upstart.
